Started in 2014, C.E.O and founder Daniel Browne was on a mission to provide a better platform for both proofreaders and students alike. David knew from his days in university that international students would often struggle with written English and had to have their assignments and dissertations proofread to ensure that their grades weren't compromised. With no real way of students finding the best proofreaders, David decided to produce Checker.co.uk, a proofreading directory in which users can submit reviews and rate their experiences with proofreading businesses, ensuring transparency for both proofreaders and users alike. David was on a mission to ensure that not only could users rate their experience, but also to give offline proofreaders a voice!
